They are widely used in electronic equipment and white goods, such as audio and video products, digital products, remote controls, communication products, household appliances, etc. Electrical appliances, security products, toys, computer products, fitness equipment, medical equipment, money detector pens, laser pen buttons, etc. Because of the environmental conditions of the tact switch (elastic force with less than 2 times the pressure/environmental temperature and humidity conditions and electrical performance), large equipment and high-load buttons are directly replaced by conductive rubber or dome switch hardware shrapnel, such as medical equipment, TV remote control, etc.

Now there is the fifth generation switch-membrane switch, the function is the same as that of the tact switch, it is mainly used in electronic instruments and CNC machine tools, but the resistance is large and the hand feel is poor. In order to overcome the phenomenon of poor hand feel, there are also contact reeds installed in the membrane switch instead of using the silver layer as the contact point.
